Dear Jasper Families,

I hope you are enjoying your summer and spending quality time with your family amidst all that has been happening this year. We want to welcome you to the 2020-2021 school year! Jasper is an excellent school for our 9th and 10th grade students. We encourage all families to join Jasper PTSA to help support the excellent staff at Jasper. Your support, through donations of time and money, will ensure that we continue to provide all of our children with a wonderful learning experience.

All Jasper/PISD forms can be submitted online starting July 24. Your child’s schedule will be available online on July 31, as long as you complete the required forms. Pictures for IDs and the yearbook are taken during school hours in August. All volunteers must also complete the Volunteer Application through PISD each year starting July 1 to volunteer at the school. Also, make sure you sign up for Jasper eNews.

Jasper PTSA registration and ordering is online as well. If you register online at and prepay for everything by the appropriate deadline, then your items will be reserved for you to pick up at Walkabout. You can come up anytime from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on July 31 to pick up your prepaid items while your Jasper student walks their schedule. **You MUST pick up your prepaid items. We do NOT deliver them to your child’s class. Please make arrangements to have a friend pick up any prepaid items if you are unable to make it for Walkabout. ** Limited quantities of school supplies, recommended reading, and spirit wear will be available for purchase at Walkabout. We love our volunteers at Jasper. If you are unable to give of your time, there are many other ways you can contribute to the PTSA, such as the following:

  • Join Jasper PTSA and encourage your friends to join the PTSA; our goal is a voice for every child at Jasper, so help us by joining PTSA. Students are able to join the PTSA, and if they join in 9th and 10th Grade, this makes them eligible for the Jasper PTSA Scholarship their senior year.
  • Make a monetary donation, as Jasper PTSA does not hold traditional fundraisers. 
  • Drop off clean, unwanted clothing or toys at the World Wear Project bin in our parking lot.
  • If you shop at Amazon, sign up for Amazon Smile, where they donate 0.5% of eligible purchases to Jasper High School PTSA.

We are truly fortunate to live in a community where parents are actively involved in their children’s education, and it is important to continue being involved during high school. The Jasper PTSA is dedicated to supporting both our students and staff by fulfilling teacher wish lists, bringing in speakers to our PTSA meetings, and providing funding for programs that benefit all students. Please join us in our pursuit of excellence by joining the PTSA and being a part of the largest children’s advocacy association in the country.

Here is what you will do to complete the PTSA Online Registration Process BEGINNING ON MAY 20th:

  1. Go to and click on START HERE!

  2. Online Jasper PTSA Directory: To include your student’s information in the Online Jasper PTSA Directory, complete the Parent and Student Information form. Only members of the PTSA will receive access to our online directory information. Check ALL of the boxes on the Directory Information page if you want to give permission to have all personal information and images published on the directory, website, and newsletter.

  3. Jasper PTSA Membership (Parent, Teacher, Student Association): We encourage all parents and students to join Jasper PTSA. Your membership dues help pay for classroom supplies, teacher appreciation, programs like college night, and wish list items for the teachers and staff. Students can include this membership on their college resumes, and students who are members of the Jasper PTSA for both their 9th and 10th grade years are eligible for a Jasper PTSA scholarship their senior year. After you complete the directory information, check the boxes of those family members who would like to join Jasper PTSA. The cost is $15.50 for the first member and $8.50 for each additional member.

  4. Donations: Your support, through donation of time and money, helps ensure that we continue to provide all students with a wonderful learning experience. The PTSA does not participate in traditional fundraising activities such as selling cookie dough or gift wrap. We rely solely on donations from our parents. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to our PTSA. Parents who donate $100 or more will be invited to attend a small group lunch with our Principal, Billie Jean Lee.

  5. School Supplies: Between June 13 and July 28, school supply packs are available for purchase online for $45. Any school supplies that are paid for online will be available for pick-up at your convenience on July 31 during Walkabout. A limited number of school supplies will be available for purchase for $45 at Walkabout. (See flyer below for more details.)

  6. Student Planners: A student planner is recommended by our teachers and helps students keep track of assignments and due dates and teaches them to balance their schedule. Students may prepay for their Jasper planner for $5 online by July 28, and you will pick it up at your convenience on July 31 during Walkabout.)

  7. Recommended Reading: We are currently waiting for updates from PISD on recommended reading due to curriculum changes. The recommended reading books will be available for purchase online for the following classes: 9th English, 9th Honors English, 10th English, 10th Honors English, and Humanities. The deadline for purchasing recommended reading to guarantee pick-up at Walkabout will be communicated soon. All other orders will be available at the start of school. A limited number of books will be available for purchase during Walkabout.

  8. Spirit Wear: Various items will be available for purchase online and during Walkabout. If you purchase online by July 8, we will have them ready for you to pick-up during the Walkabout on July 31. Purchases after July 8 will be available for pick up at a later date. Supplies are limiter.

  9. Camp Jag (Freshman Orientation): Camp Jag is set for Saturday, August 8. Incoming freshmen can sign up for the session, which is from 9:00 to 11:30 AM. At this orientation, they will tour the building and learn about extra-curricular activities, campus clubs, Jasper rules, and much more. The cost for this orientation is $10 to help cover administrative fees. The deadline to register for Camp Jag is July 31.
  10. Parent Volunteers: Please volunteer in at least one area! Professionals say that this is the most important time to stay involved with your student’s school. PISD requires that all volunteers complete a background check every year. After July 1, go to and fill out your Volunteer Application. Make sure to select Jasper High School as one of the campuses where you want to volunteer.

  11. Receipt: Print your receipt and bring it with you to Walkabout on July 31.

*All payments can be made using PayPal. Questions regarding PayPal must be directed to PayPal, not PTSA.

*PTSA registration begins May 20th. PRINT YOUR RECEIPT and bring with you July 31st.

*The deadline to prepay for school supplies is June 12th !

*The deadline to prepay for spirit wear is July 8th..

*The deadline to register for Camp Jag July 31st.

*You must pick up your pre-ordered items any time during the Jaguar Walkabout on July 31st. The school will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. PRE-ORDERED ITEMS WILL NOT BE DELIVERED TO YOUR CHILD’S CLASS!

*PLEASE make arrangements to have a friend pick up ordered items if you are unable to make it to Jasper on July 31st.
