Dear Jasper Families,
It’s back to school time! To all the new families, WELCOME. We can’t wait to help you get involved in the Jasper community and the larger Blue Nation. For our returning families, you are in for a real treat with our new principal, Brooks Baca. He is no stranger to PISD or Jasper and he is a great choice for our students and our campus. I am looking forward to a great year together and I know we need your support to bless our students and staff and achieve our campus and community goals for the 2024-2025 school year:
- Please join Jasper PTSA: Parents, Teachers AND Students should join!
- Student PTSA members for both 9th and 10th grades are eligible to apply for a senior scholarship during the spring semester of their senior year. Don’t miss out!
- $$ Please make a monetary donation to Jasper PTSA: This is one of our main fundraisers and does not require volunteer time.
- Please remember to donate your unwanted clothing and toys at the World Wear bin in the student parking lot.
- Please, please VOLUNTEER!
*Remember ALL volunteers must complete the PISD Volunteer Application in advance each year and be approved to volunteer at the school. It is best to start your application now as it takes a few days to process. Jasper PTSA is dedicated to supporting both our students and staff by fulfilling teacher wish lists, bringing in speakers to our PTSA meetings, and providing funding for programs that benefit all students. Please join us in our pursuit of excellence by joining the PTSA and being a part of the largest children’s advocacy association in the country.
For PTSA communication: Please look for announcements and opportunities at www.JasperPTSA.org and follow us on Facebook and Instagram. Make sure to update your personal information and click completely through our welcome packet to be in-the-know for the start of school. There’s also an opportunity for a FREE Blue Nation t-shirt for students who complete the PTSA information packet.
Don’t miss out!
Mark your calendars now: August 3rd (Freshman Event), August 9th (Jasper Walkabout), August 13th (First Day of School) and September 10th (First PTSA General Meeting at 9:15 a.m. at JHS).
For non-PTSA Jasper HS school communication: All Jasper/PISD forms can be submitted online via the PISD parent portal. Jasper will send out a communication when your child’s schedule will be available online for those who have completed the required forms. Also, make sure you sign up for Jasper eNews. This is a quick and easy way to get up to date information regarding Jasper HS and PTSA events and notices.
Best regards,
Tamasan Murph
