As we begin planning for the upcoming school year, the Jasper PTSA is now accepting nominations for our Executive Board for the 2026–2027 school year.
Serving on the Executive Board is a meaningful way to support our students, collaborate with school leadership, and help build a strong, connected Jasper community. No prior PTSA experience is required—just a willingness to help and a heart for our school.
You may nominate yourself or someone else who you feel would be a great fit. Nominees will be contacted before their names are placed forward.

Below is a brief description of the responsibilities of each role:
Elected Officer Roles
• President – Leads the PTSA, oversees communications, appoints committees, and coordinates major initiatives.
• 1st VP – Programs – Plans speakers, programs, and Red Ribbon Week; oversees arts, cultural diversity, and SAGE.
• 2nd VP – Membership – Runs membership drives, maintains records, coordinates Life Member and Scholarship committees.
• 3rd VP – Communications & Volunteers – Manages publicity, website, newsletter, social media, and event volunteers.
• 4th VP – Ways&Means– Leads fundraising efforts and oversees spirit wear.
• Secretary – Maintains minutes and official PTSA records.
• Treasurer – Manages finances, budgeting, and reporting.
Appointed Roles:
• Parliamentarian – Maintains bylaws and standing rules; advises on procedure.
• Council Delegate – Represents Jasper PTSA at Council PTA meetings.
Standing Committee Chairs (Lead ongoing PTSA programs throughout the year)
• Arts in Education – Supports cultural arts programs and Reflections.
• Environmental – Promotes environmental initiatives and campus beautification.
• Healthy Lifestyles – Leads health, safety, and wellness programs.
• Hospitality – Coordinates staff appreciation events and manages supplies.
• Legislative – Tracks school board and PTA legislative updates.
• Student Activities – Coordinates PTSA‑sponsored student events.
Sub‑Committee Chairs (Perfect for volunteers who want a focused, manageable role)
• Birthday Chair – Organizes monthly staff birthday treats.
• Community Outreach – Supports drives, donations, and community service.
• Cultural Diversity – Plans cultural events and supports diversity initiatives.
• Copy Coordinator – Schedules volunteers for office copying projects.
• Plano West Liaison – Attends Plano West PTSA meetings and shares updates.
• Publicity / Social Media – Promotes events through school and PTSA channels.
• Newsletter – Gathers content and publishes the PTSA newsletter.
• SAGE Chair – Promote programs and distribute information related to special and gifted education activities.
• Spirit Wear – Designs, orders, and distributes spirit wear.
• Teacher Treats – Coordinates special treats and appreciation events.
