School Year to Start with All Students Learning Remotely

7/17/2020 9:18 am

With the rapidly changing situation with COVID-19, Plano ISD has made the decision to start the 2020-21 school year in a completely virtual environment for all students. Please know that this decision was not made lightly, but out of concern for the safety and health of all students and staff. The first day of school will remain Wednesday, August 12. At this time, remote learning will be in effect through Labor Day. Teachers will have a work day on September 8 and barring any additional health and safety concerns, families who did not select PISD School@Home (remote learning) will transition to the face-to-face learning environments at their assigned campus on September 9. Instruction will continue online for those students who selected PISD School@HomeClick Here for more information

Technology & Meal Access During the Closure

3/15/2020 12:50 pm

Hi everyone-
I hope this finds you all safe and healthy.  I wanted to make sure you had the latest information from PISD, so I’m passing this along.
Please take a moment to fill out the technology survey, as this is an important information-gathering tool for the district.
Venetia Robertson
President, Jasper PTSA

Technology Access
In an effort to better understand and support the needs of our community, we are asking a few questions related to Plano ISD students' collective ability to access technology outside of school. We fully recognize the irony of using an online survey to gather this information. Please be assured that survey responses will be coupled with additional data collected using "offline" methods to inform our decisions and plans of action. Access and share this survey at:

Meal Assistance
We want to make sure that all students have access to meals during the district’s closure. To get the week started, Plano ISD is providing free grab-and-go breakfast and lunch at five locations across the district beginning Monday, March 16. Adjustments to this schedule may be made as needed, so please watch for updated communications and regularly check the Plano ISD website for new information.

Grab-and-go meals will be available for curbside pickup at the following times:

This program serves students attending any Plano ISD school, grades pre-k through 12. Families can pick up meals curbside in the carpool lanes at the campuses listed below. Access to enter the buildings will not be available.
